allow me to explain.
what i meant is that i dont think the mma guy is really in a full on takedown mode.
he is just allowing the tai chi guy to demonstrate.
i may be wrong but that is how appears to me.

Yes, he is acting as a partner/uke rather than an opponent...still it's a pretty standard way to practice throws , and it's one of the best ways to learn them on the receiving end.

Yes - you can't resist because the moment where resistance is possible has passed. In other words, it's too late to resist (in much the same way as you can't "resist" a punch that's already landed). A good throw exploits your lapses in concentration/balance and is applied in a way that is inevitable.

That looks like a co-operative exercise to me possibly for advertising purposes.
