Welcome to the Traditional Fighting Arts Forums!

My name is Dan Djurdjevic, the site administrator. I study karate, Chen Pan-Ling internal arts, kobudo, arnis, qin-na and the Shaolin Forms of Hong Yi Xiang. I have been training continuously since 1981. I am the chief technical advisor to the Academy of Traditional Fighting Arts (see http://www.traditionalfightingarts.com) and an amateur martial arts historian and researcher. Some of you may know me through my blog "The Way of Least Resistance" (see http://www.dandjurdjevic.blogspot.com).

I set up this site specifically because I saw a need for traditional martial artists of all arts, styles and schools to exchange ideas, information and opinions in a friendly, respectful environment.

And it is this environment that I find sadly lacking in many other "all styles" forums on the web.

That is not to say that I expect the members of this site to agree with each other all of the time. That would be boring indeed! Rather, I look forward to many years of healthy and robust debate. However even when we disagree vehemently with each other there is, in my view, no call for disrespecting someone's choice to adhere to a particular view.

For any forum to function as a true "community", it's members must show each other respect and courtesy. That is the fundamental rule of this site.

Happy posting!

I'd like to welcome Carl Spitale and a man who shall go by the name "Willy Wrong" who I accidentally binned as spam (sorry Willy - but you did choose a name similar to DrViagra and co.!).

Thanks for joining us guys and look forward to hearing more from you.
