Hi

Looks like a great forum I look forward being a part of it.

I’m Pat O’Brien from Denver Co., I’ve been a student of Seibukan Shorin ryu for 35 years and Matayoshi kobudo for around 20 years. In the 80’s when I had more energy I found the time to cross train some Shotokan and Shtio ryu. I currently teach through the Denver Parks and Rec and have since 84.

My Sensei is Victor Banks, but over the years I have had the privilege of training under many other great instructors in Seibukan and Kodokan.

Harlan

Thank you for the invitaion, sorry it has taken me so long to get here.

Hi
I was surfing the web for information and opinions about Naifanchi / Naihanchi / Tekki and came across this great discussion on your forum. I liked the depth of knowledge displayed by some of you, but what I found to be the best, was the respectful way you all wrote in. So I decided to see if I could join in.

My names is Jorge F. Garibaldi. I've been training since the 80' and I love the martial arts. My core art is Wado ryu karate, but I have cross-trained a lot, mainly in Goju ryu and Nihon Jujitsu. I have also studied Tai Chi Chuan (yang style short frame) for many years, I have a 1st dan in Bojutsu, and I currently also study Kenjutsu.

I hope to learn a lot from you guys!

Best regards
Jorge

A heartfelt (although belated ) welcome Jorge!! Everyone here is civil (although we can sometimes argue very strongly about an issue ;) ) and have one thing in common with each other: we all love our respective arts and have respect for arts other than our own, and do try to keep an open mind to others' opinions. Bienvenido!!
