Yeah funnily enough, that was also Eric's main advice about getting better at Judo at the beginner level, learn to fall so well that you are no longer worrying about being thrown, makes sense, so far my randori has been mostly defensive, i.e. just me worrying about and trying to block against throws.

In my very limited experienced opinion, danger to the knees lies in not a fear of falling, but of a resulting ippon. Purely the stuff of competition, and less of learning the art of Judo.

ZZ Like most Judokas, they do Jujitsu then Aikido as they get older less knee injuries and more wrists and sholder sprains. Because as we know no Pain no Gain. Just my 2 cent.
